Landra Valley

Located at the far northwest of the Vellaney Dominion the valley along river Landra was unsettled for a long time, well into the second era.
Despite its fertile riverbanks and natural resources people were hesitant to stake their claim there due to its many predators, remote location - separated from the rest of the Dominion by the infamous Bloodfrost mountains, and the sparse military patrols despite the valleys proximity to the neighboring Atalante Confederacy.

Eventually a few brave souls decided to try their luck and claim the lands supposed riches, most prominately the farmer Alabaster Edano who's farm, located right on the riverbank next to Broken Hope Mountain, would later rise to onebe of the Dominions largest.

Still, for decades the area would remain sparsely populated, until large deposits of metals and minerals were found by prospector Janak Addar, prompting an influx of settlers and adventurers, as well as Atalantes attention.
Despite the Dominions efforts to strengthen it's presence in the area in order to deter their neighbours from taking action tensions eventually escalated into a prolonged border war between the two powers.
Even though they had the geographical disadvantage, the Dominion eventually managed to push back the enemy forces and keep control of the region until the two were united under High Queen Valessa Adira a century later.
